How Happy Are You? Take the test to find out!
It's time to REALLY figure out your level of happiness! You only happy once life to live, It's time to live it at your optimal level of happiness!
This test is valid and reliable and has been backed up be research, used by psychologists and doctors worldwide. Take it to find out where you rank on the happiness scale!
The Oxford Happiness Questionnaire
The Oxford Happiness Questionnaire was developed by psychologists Michael Argyle and Peter Hills at Oxford University. Take a few moments to take the survey. This is a good way to get a snapshot of your current level of happiness. You can even use your score to compare to your happiness level at some point in the future by taking the survey again. If you are using some of the interventions presented on this site to raise your happiness level, you can see whether your score on the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire goes up as a result.
Instructions Below are a number of statements about happiness. Please indicate how much you agree or disagree with each by entering a number in the blank after each statement, according to the following scale:
1 = strongly disagree 2 = moderately disagree 3 = slightly disagree 4 = slightly agree 5 = moderately agree 6 = strongly agree
Please read the statements carefully, because some are phrased positively and others negatively. Don‟t take too long over individual questions; there are no “right” or “wrong” answers (and no trick questions). The first answer that comes into your head is probably the right one for you. If you find some of the questions difficult, please give the answer that is true for you in general or for most of the time. Those statements marked with an „R‟ will be scored in reverse.
The Questionnaire
1. I don‟t feel particularly pleased with the way I am. (R) _____
2. I am intensely interested in other people. _____
3. I feel that life is very rewarding. _____
4. I have very warm feelings towards almost everyone. _____
5. I rarely wake up feeling rested. (R) _____
6. I am not particularly optimistic about the future. (R) _____
7. I find most things amusing. _____
8. I am always committed and involved. _____
9. Life is good. _____
10. I do not think that the world is a good place. (R) _____
11. I laugh a lot. _____
12. I am well satisfied about everything in my life. _____
13. I don‟t think I look attractive. (R) _____
14. There is a gap between what I would like to do and what I have done. (R) _____
15. I am very happy. _____
16. I find beauty in some things. _____
17. I always have a cheerful effect on others. _____
18. I can fit in (find time for) everything I want to. _____
19. I feel that I am not especially in control of my life. (R) _____
20. I feel able to take anything on. _____
21. I feel fully mentally alert. _____
22. I often experience joy and elation. _____
23. I don‟t find it easy to make decisions. (R) _____
24. I don‟t have a particular sense of meaning and purpose in my life. (R) _____
25. I feel I have a great deal of energy. _____
26. I usually have a good influence on events. _____
27. I don‟t have fun with other people. (R) _____
28. I don‟t feel particularly healthy. (R) _____
29. I don‟t have particularly happy memories of the past. (R) _____
Calculate your score
Step 1. Items marked (R) should be scored in reverse:
If you gave yourself a “1,” cross it out and change it to a “6.”
Change “2″ to a “5″
Change “3″ to a “4″
Change “4″ to a “3″
Change “5″ to a “2″
Change “6″ to a “1″
Step 2. Add the numbers for all 29 questions. (Use the converted numbers for the 12 items that are reverse scored.)
Step 3. Divide by 29. So your happiness score = the total (from step 2) divided by 29.
We recommend you record your score and the date. Then you‟ll have the option to compare your score now with your score at a later date. This can be especially helpful if you are trying some of the exercises, and actively working on increasing your happiness.
Scoring
The lowest possible score is 1 and the highest possible score is 6. (The average is around 4.30).

Can I get a little Prada or how about Christian with that stiletto?

So what's it going to be? A little peep, cleavage or closed toe? How about Christian Louboutin or Prada? Two of my fav shoe designers, they bring it together quite nicely. Take for instance the Prada cut-out bootie, you can rock that with some skinni' jeans or cut-off jean shorts (like Bilsen's), a colorful or not so colorful loose top and the infamous big tote. Sexy. Or, if you feel like exposing the cleavage, take up Christian on that offer. His sexy pump is sassy and sensual...just make sure you keep the eye-level cleavage to a minimum. I'm thinking for that heel, how about a royal blue sexy short dress, or if you was to accentuate the red sole go for the red mini dress. Definitely a short dress for that cleavage. If you are feeling a bit flirty in pink and want to peep a little toe, Christian can once again come to the rescue. The semi-box shaped front of that shoe resembles a ballerina pointe shoe. And what are ballerinas? Sexy, graceful, and fabulous, like you of course. It's a tough design to walk in, for the novice, but once you get the rhythm down, you'll be doing pirouettes in no time! For that pink beauty, I would say sexy in white. Well it depends where you are going. Going to happy hour? Picture this, white skinni pants, and a pale, yet slightly bright, yellow top that is loose and hangs low in the back. A long necklace with hints of pink and a clutch to match. Very chic. That's just one combination. I can go on for hours finding outfits to match all of those shoes! Last but not least, the budding Prada-ian flower....It's such an elegant shoe that can be worn both in the office and at dinner. To me, it rings black colors...it's a nice shoe to pair with black outfits. Just focus on the design of the outfit for this one. Whether it is a tailored suit or a low V-neck dress, focus on the elegance of the design. It's what I call, the elder of the bunch, so it deserves a little respect...

Rachel is in the OC is out.

Can anyone say Rachel-I-got-it-together-Bilsen? She is rockin' the fab in all of her outfits. I don't think I have been disappointed with any of her outfits just yet....and if you really take a closer look they are so simple to put together. I know some of you may be saying "Yea, if I had a size 2 waist!" But you can also make it work for you. Check out the first picture where she is wearing the over-sized, or what I like to call the one-size fits all dress...what makes that outfit? It's all about the purse. You can throw on one of those one-size fits all in any color, hot red, pink, black, blue and add on a big tote and you are rockin'. If you feel uncomfortable showing your legs, a long cotton halter dress works just as fine. The key is the big purse and the thong sandals....no not those clunky-monkey sandals, with the thick sole or the 1/2 inch rubber heel...it's all about the flat, sleek sandal now-a-days. Just make sure to get those toes in shape, because those sandals bring out the best in your feet. Cool nail polish for this summer season are hot pinks, pale pinks, almost white, hot yellows and oranges....try to match the color with your skin tone.
Check out the last picture-perfect Bilson. Those shoes are smokin' hot! And, Bilson knows how to work with what she's got. She is really petite, so she paired those short-shorts with heels to elongate her legs...at the same time she didn't wear them Sir Mix A Lot dasiy-duke short, which kept the outfit classy, simple and most of all rockin'! What is the first thing you notice from that outfit? My eyes wander to the contrast in color between the dark denim wash and the camel colored shoes. It's a nice earthy-tone contrast that keeps the focus on both her sexy legs and the shoes. You can create that same look, with either short-shorts, knee-length shorts or even jeans. Tall women fair better with longer shorts, since they usually have longer legs...shorter girls add an umph' to their legs with the short-jean look. Also, if you have an old pair of jeans, snip em'! There is nothing sexier than cut-off shorts, just make sure to cut in a STRAIGHT line and off the excess frays...
What is about her outfits that make her shine? It's the fact that it looks like she woke up and threw on the first thing she saw without making any effort, yet somehow it managed to come together beautifully. Bilson also projects a sense of self in all of her outfits. What do her outfits scream to you? Can you get a sense for what Bilson might be like from her outfits? To me she projects an easy-going, bohemian, yet sophisticated kinda gal. What do you think?
Remember you can make any outfit stylish, yet your own...
